Medications - The Use of

There are few contradictions between the two except that when one begins to get well, most of the people on the list have been weaned off of medication believing that drugs are for crisis management and, generally, for IBD are not preventative. However, proper diet in IBD patients is certainly preventative.

We do recommend probiotics after or during antibiotic therapy. However, in more serious bowel diseases like Clostridium difficile or uncontrollable diarrhea, drugs are there to save your life.
