A couple of thoughts on meats:

-You may find meat easier to digest earlier in the day since digestion slows down throughout the day.

-You may find ground meats (lean) easier to digest. The ground meats should be broiled not fried to remove fat.

-Meat from grass fed, hormone free, antibiotic free animals is easier to tolerate.

-Some ideas for people who have difficulties digesting meat:
Poached free range chicken eggs.
Free range chicken pureed in water or broth.
Ground meat (grass fed, hormone free, antibiotic free).

- If you continue to have problems with proteins you may want to consider enzymes (proteases or proteinases) to see if they help. However, things may correct with the diet as you heal.
